Development of integration processes in the agroindustrial complex

Abstract

The article investigates the integration processes in agro-industrial complex of Ukraine, summarizes trends in the development of agricultural holdings after the financial crisis of 2008. It is focused on the process of concentration of capital at the level of companies with vertically integrated business models and clearly determined strategic goals, which are leaders in the certain segments of food market.More than 60% in the structure of consolidated revenue are from realization of food products that indicates the concentration of main efforts of investigated business structures on manufacturing of products with higher added value. Apart from the effect of capital concentration benefits of vertical integration are realized at the level of such companies.There are two types of agricultural holding as specified in the article: specialized and portfolio holdings. The article investigates economic and financial functioning basics through segmentation of consolidated revenue, analysis of dynamics of their activities, assets, structure and dynamics of obligations, methods of financing. The article also analyses their investment attractiveness and influence on the development of Ukrainian economics and country’s food security.
