Abstract

The article analyzes the strategic components of the state policy of raw potential of the meat processing industry. The results of the national project "Recovering of cattle breeding" is evaluated. The current strategy of development of food industry concerning the meat industry and livestock is analyzed. The basic components of the Project of the Unified comprehensive strategy of development of agriculture and rural areas in 2015-2020 years was considered. It is noted that meat processing industry does not fully use its raw potential to date. There are a whole range ofproblems associated with stockbreeding: industry is not attractive for investment, unstable state financial support, obsolescence of production base, permanent reduction in the number of animals, urgent need for harmonization of national and European standards of quality of the final product, undeveloped export potential etc.
