EXPERIENCE OF STATE SUPPORT FOR INVESTMENT-INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FOOD INDUSTRY IN UKRAINE AND WORLDWIDE

The subject of the research:Investment-innovative process in the food industry of Ukraine, and measures of state support thereof. The purpose of the study is to identify the most effective state regulation measures for investment and innovation processes in the food industry of Ukraine, taking into account the world experience. Methods applied: System generalization, structural-logical, statistical analysis, comparison, time series, graphical. Novelty of research: Author purported to improve the components of the mechanism of sustainable investment-innovative development of the food industry of Ukraine, taking into account the experiences of developed countries, and allowing to determine the most promising of directions. Research results. Institutional support and approaches to financing of innovations, models of innovative decisions in the food industry of developed countries of the world were systematized. Subject to investigation were the structure and dynamics of the State Budget expenditures for the support of the domestic agro-industrial complex, the influence of state strategies and programs on the development of food system. Improvements are suggested to the tools of sustainable investment and innovative development of the food industry of Ukraine, with due account for the experiences of EU countries and the USA. It has been established that the experiences and results of state support for food industries in Ukraine and the world testify to the effectiveness of assistance to the poorest sections of the US population, the effectiveness of EU policy in the field of binding regulations and directives, accessible bank lending, etc. It is revealed that state budget support for the development of the agro-industrial complex should include not only support for agrarian industries, but also for the priority sections of the food processing industry, to ensure balanced investment and innovative development of all sections of the production and marketing chain. It is advisable to increase budget allocations for scientific and technical development and applied research in the food industry, which will contribute to the modernization and innovative development of the food system. Scope of research results application. The target audience are economics specialists working in the field of food industry and macroeconomic research, researchers, lecturers, graduate students, and students of higher educational institutions. The results of the study can be of use to experts and public authorities when looking for ways to improve the investment attractiveness of food enterprises and the country’s economy in general
