Abstract

Subject. A set of theoretical, methodological and applied aspects of the development of various groups of primary production enterprises in conditions of permanent variability of the internal situation (agrarian crises and local recessions, the pre-war period and the stage of martial law) and increased turbulence in the economic environment of Ukraine. Purpose. To reveal the current state and generalize the results of conducting business activities by economic entities of primary production in the conditions of permanent occurrence of agrarian crises, martial law and local recessions and increased external turbulence, to substantiate recommendations of practical content aimed at ensuring their sustainable development in the post-war period. Methods. The basis of the conducted research was general scientific and special research methods: systematic and retrospective analysis – to establish the specifics of the development of various groups of primary production enterprises in the pre-war period and under martial law; formalization, analysis and synthesis – to identify and evaluate various groups of enterprises that produced and sold primary products, against the background of a decrease in their volumes in conditions of agrarian crises and at the stage of war; comparative analysis – when investigating the effectiveness of groups of enterprises in different product and service areas. Results. The causes and consequences of the real impact of agrarian crises and martial law on the functioning of various groups of primary production, as well as their production activities in the inter-crisis periods and in the first war year, have been established. Turning points in the development of agriculture in connection with structural changes and the variability of the economic situation were identified. The peculiarities of the development of various groups of primary production enterprises according to the current models of their stability in relation to agrarian crises and local recessions are revealed: they are correlated with the decline of production and stable in relation to crisis periods. It was established that a positive role was played by the increase in the price index for agricultural products. The main conditions that ensured active investment of various groups of primary production enterprises in crisis and locally declining periods of development were identified and established. Scope of results. The results of the research include theoretical foundations and practical approaches to uncovering the specifics of development and efficiency of primary production business entities in crisis and inter-crisis periods and at the stage of martial law. The identified trends will be used in the revival of the potential of primary production enterprises in the process of eliminating the consequences of the occupation and revitalizing the activities of business entities with the use of means and tools for their support.
