Abstract

Subject. Economic processes in the food market and systemic changes in the country's economy. Purpose. Identification and systematization of systemic changes in the economy that affect food value added chains (VAD). Methods. To carry out research, the following methods were used: dialectical, statistical – to assess the trends of changes in macroeconomic indicators and indicators of food industry activity; systemic generalization – for the structuring and classification of the factors of systemic changes in the economy that affect the food value added chains; comparisons – to compare indicators of economic development, food products and raw materials for their production. Results. A retrospective of systemic changes and crisis phenomena in the country's economy, which affected the development of food value added chains, is provided. The trends of changes in macroeconomic indicators and indicators of VAD are compared. The level of the population's purchasing power in terms of food products and its dynamics at the stages of systemic changes were assessed. A classification of the factors influencing the system changes on the formation of food value chains has been developed. The proposed classification can serve as an effective tool for determining the directions of the development of the food industry, as well as for the development of a targeted set of measures and means of agrarian policy to stimulate food value chains. Scope of results. Intended for scientific workers, industrial holdings and state administration bodies. The results can be used in further scientific research and recommendations for improving the activity of food value added chains.
