Subject. Various raw materials and waste of alcohol production – distillery stillage and wastewater. Purpose An analytical study of problems and identification of opportunities for improving the ecologization of alcohol production, taking into account changing climatic conditions. Methods. The information base of the study is scientific articles in domestic and foreign publications, information electronic resources. Results. Analyzing the situation in the alcohol industry, namely: high energy and water consumption rates, a large amount of waste, in particular, distillery stillage, which without thorough treatment causes wastewater pollution, it becomes obvious that the ecologization of alcohol enterprises is important and relevant. Moreover, raw materials play an important role in solving this problem Due to global warming, it is worth paying more attention to drought-resistant crops that are accustomed to growing in a zone of elevated temperatures. Such crops include sugar sorghum, sweet potatoes, Jerusalem artichoke, etc. When designing alcohol plants, it is worth taking into account the distance to the raw material base to reduce the logistical load. When choosing a technological scheme for processing, it is necessary to use effective methods of wastewater treatment and apply those that make it possible to use alternative energy (biogas), as well as purify, cool and reuse water within the production. Wastewater treatment should be carried out using the most environmentally friendly methods, which include biological methods and phytoremediation, for the implementation of which biological reservoirs are used. Scope of results. The results obtained can serve as a basis for developing methods for greening the alcohol industry.
