Subject. Analysis of registered varieties of grain crops in Ukraine, which are the basis of agricultural production and export of the state. Purpose. Research the market of grain crop varieties based on the results of state registration, total sown area, yield, gross harvest in the territory of Ukraine and form a ranking of the regions of Ukraine according to the growth and production volume of grain crops. Methods. During the research, general scientific methods were used, in particular analytical, economic, mathematical and statistical, comparative assessment, as well as the synthesis method to form conclusions. Results. Based on the results of research, the current state of the seed market of well-known varieties of the cereal group, as an important link in the formation of national varietal resources, was analyzed. Ways of promotion of grain crop varieties to the market, the influence of timely variety replacement and variety renewal on the growth of production volumes of commercial grain products are revealed. The reasons for the long-term use of varieties in production by agricultural enterprises of various forms of ownership are motivated. The algorithm of formation of the market of varieties and seeds of grain crops is considered. The main means of communication policy regarding the product "variety" have been established through the organization and operation of a demonstration range of grain crops as a mechanism of advertising activity on the market of varieties and seeds. Scope of results. Well-known varieties of cereal crops make up a significant share (35.6%), and cereal grains (10.3%) in the structure of national plant varietal resources. Untimely variety replacement leads to a significant shortage of grain during the production of commercial products and switching policy in the market of varieties and seeds. Strategic types of cereals with high marketability are represented by modern competitive varieties with a high innovative component. The national selection of cereals is quite heavily represented by varieties of botanical taxa of the winter type of development, which is 44.3% of all agricultural cereals. The obtained data will be useful for specialists involved in the production of grain crops, as well as for breeders and enterprises engaged in the export-import of seedling material and grain traders.
