Subject. The ability aluminum hydroxide in the nanoscale state to clean diffusion juice from non-sugars without lime carbonation treatment. Purpose. Study method application and efficiency purification of diffusion juice. Methods. Physico-chemical, microscopic and analytical. Results. The identification aluminum hydroxide by electron microscopy proved that the solid phase is represent by pyramidal particles, which is characteristic hydroargillite-aluminum hydroxide monoclinic crystal system. In the diffusion juice, aluminum hydroxide changes shape under the influence of non-sugars, adsorbing them and binding them into a dense complex. Research has shown that the presence antiseptic residues in the diffusion juice affects the structure aluminum hydroxide, forming a denser and more compact sediment structure. At the same time, studies have shown that the amount aluminum hydroxide introduced has a multifaceted effect on the quality of the diffusion juice. When aluminum hydroxide add amount of 0.2% to the mass of the diffusion juice, the purity of the juice improves (86.67%), the cleaning effect is 13.3%. During the treatment of the diffusion juice with aluminum hydroxide, the formation of a light gray precipitate with dark layers observed. The sediment formed more intensively depending on the amount aluminum hydroxide in the juice, most compactly and densely when it is introduce in an amount of 0.2% to the mass of the diffusion juice. It has been proven that the use of a coagulant is more effective than activated carbon, which is quickly filled with non-sugars. In addition, the finely dispersed phase coal remains in the juice even after filtering, which complicates the process of cleaning the resulting juice. Scope of results. Food industry, namely the sugar industry.
