Subject. Economic processes in the food market to improve the food supply of the population and enhance food security. Purpose. Justify strategic directions for improving food supply during martial law and post-war reconstruction. Methods. To carry out the research, the following methods were used: dialectical, statistical – to assess trends in the agro-industrial complex; systemic generalization – to structure the strategic directions of food supply; comparisons – to compare indicators of progress in implementing the Association Agreement with the EU. Results. An assessment was made of the current situation regarding the food supply of the population, which indicates a significant deterioration, especially for vulnerable groups. Consumption of meat and dairy products in recent years has been insufficient. Taking into account domestic and foreign anti-crisis experience, a conceptual scheme of strategic directions for improving the food supply of the population in the conditions of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and on the way to the Association with the EU has been developed and justified, which consists of six directions: countering internal challenges; assessment of the current state and need for food; institutional support; innovative development of infrastructure, production, raw materials base; food support and increasing the purchasing power of the population; implementation of the provisions of the Association Agreement. Measures have been proposed to improve food supply, the implementation of which will create conditions for adequate nutrition of the population and effective development of production. Scope of the results. Intended for specialists in the field of economic research, government agencies, and researchers. The results can be used in further scientific research and recommendations to improve the food supply of the population and achieve food security.
