Abstract

Subject. At the moment, questions arise in Ukraine regarding the simultaneous implementation of tasks to optimize the water supply of all industries, technological processes in which the use of water is only for drinking needs. Therefore, it is necessary to implement energy-saving heat and mass exchange equipment for the preparation of drinking and technical water. Purpose. Improve the processes of water purification from iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and other substances by the method of discrete-pulse energy supply, which intensifies the processes of mass and heat exchange. Methods. To do this, the following was determined: the influence of the number of processing cycles at different speeds of rotation of the rotor on the change in the concentration of iron ions in water; the effect of the number of processing cycles at different pulsation frequencies on the change in the concentration of iron ions in water; the influence of the number of processing cycles at different flow shear rates on the change in the concentration of iron ions in water. Results. The article analyzes the ecological problems of Ukraine related to the pollution of the Dnipro River as the main source of economic, drinking and technical water supply. Careless attitude to the problem of preparation of drinking water, due to a large amount of wastewater of a low degree of purification discharged by enterprises of industrial and agricultural complexes, the Dnipro River was on the verge of an ecological disaster. The need to increase the use of artesian waters is substantiated, known methods and equipment for cleaning artesian waters are briefly described. New technological heat and mass exchange equipment for intensifying the process of purifying artesian water from iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, fluorine is presented, its energy and technological indicators and comparative characteristics of the proposed installation are given. Scope of results. The results of the conducted research and the obtained data indicate that the use of a water treatment plant compared to other devices allows reducing energy consumption by 1520 times and intensifying the process of preparing drinking and technical water.
