TRANSFORMATION OF GLOBAL FOOD SUPPLY CHAINS IN THE CONTEXT OF WAR IN UKRAINE

Abstract

Subject. Is theoretical and methodological provisions and practical principles for the formation of global food supply chains in the context of military confrontation. Purpose. Is to identify the consequences of the transformation of global logistics chains in food trade in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war and to substantiate the prospects for their formation in the future. Methods. To achieve the purpose of the study, general scientific and special methods were used: dialectical and logical – to summarize the scientific foundations of the development of global food supply chains; economic and statistical – to process and analyze statistical data; tabular – to visualize and summarize the results of the study. Results. The author analyzed and identified the transformations of global logistics food chains in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The efficiency of logistics and the competitive position of countries in the global logistics market are determined. Changes in global food security under the influence of logistics chain transformations are revealed. The state of the commodity structure of foreign trade in food resources of the state in the pre-war period and during the period of military confrontation is assessed. The efficiency of logistics transportation of food by various modes of transport within Ukraine and in international traffic is compared. The throughput capacity of exports of products through the logistics channels of Ukraine during the period of military operations is estimated. Measures to improve the efficiency of transformed logistics food chains under martial law and in the future are proposed. Scope of the results. The results are of a scientific and practical nature and can be used by scientists in further research on the formation of global food supply chains in the context of military confrontation. They can serve as a source of reference and methodological information and can be used by economists, agricultural specialists, food and processing enterprises, government officials, researchers, teachers, graduate students and students of higher education institutions.
