STRUCTURAL AND DYNAMIC TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL ENTERPRISES OF FOOD INDUSTRY OF UKRAINE IN THE PRE-WAR PERIOD

Abstract

Subject. Aggregate of theoretical, methodical and applied aspects of running a small business in the food industry of Ukraine under conditions of constant variability of the internal situation and increased turbulence in the external environment. Purpose. Summarizing the development of small entrepreneurship in the food industry in the conditions of periodic occurrence of agrarian crises and increased turbulence, substantiate recommendations of practical content aimed at ensuring its sustainable development in the post-war period. Methods. The basis of the conducted research was general scientific and special methods, in particular: systematic and retrospective analysis – to establish the structural and dynamic features of the development of small enterprises of the food industry in the pre-war period; formalization, analysis and synthesis – to identify and evaluate the variable dynamics of small enterprises that produced and sold food products, against the background of gradual scaling of its volumes; comparative analysis – when studying the activities of small enterprises in various product areas. Results. The causes and consequences of contradictory trends in the development of small and microenterprises in the food industry are revealed. The problems and obstacles that inhibit the development of business activities in the food industry segment are systematized. The practical measures aimed at revitalizing the business activities of small enterprises of the food industry in the post-war period are substantiated. Scope of results. The results of the research include theoretical principles and practical approaches to the activation of production activities in the food industry segment in the conditions of a contradictory trends and the destruction of part of its potential in uncontrolled territories. Identified trends and practical measures will be used in reviving the potential of small enterprises of the food industry in the process of eliminating the consequences of military action and intensifying the activity of using the means and tools of the mechanism of their support.
