Competitive ability of the food complex of Ukraine amid the system crisis

Abstract

The unfavorable economic situation prevailing in the world markets for Ukraine`s food industry, the introduction of a number of trade restrictions by the countries – members of the Customs Union, along with the lack of effective reforms in Ukraine deepened the crisis in the economy. Resulting in a critical increase in threats to the economic security of Ukraine due to the emergence of a number of additional, fundamentally new challenges for our country. The article`s aim is to study the current development of the food industry of Ukraine to determine specific areas to improve its competitive position and foundation the effective measures for the stabilization of its development.
