Possibilities to export meats and meat products to EU member states: rules and prospects

Problem of availability and necessity of meat and meat products exportation from Ukraine to the states of the European Union in the frames of trade preferences granted is considered. Overall characteristic of EU to-day approaches the importation of the products of animal origin from non-member states is given. EU requirements to exporting states are listed, the measures within multistage compliance evaluation routine of the third countries to the requirements concerning exportation of meat and meat products to EU member states is also characterized. Considerations are adduced concerning economic and image aspects of the exportation of meat and meat products to EU, a number of measures to facilitate the said products introduction to EU markets is proposed.
