BUSINESS ACTIVITIES IN THE BAKING INDUSTRY: ADVANTAGES AND CONSTRAINTS

Abstract

The factors reducing the number of enterprises of baking industry are determined. Processes of expansion of coverage holdings, mergers and acquisitions of enterprises are considered. The ratio of industrial enterprises and private bakeries in Europe and the process of investment in large baking holdings are analyzed. The level of competition between enterprises of the baking industry is considered. The business environments of large, medium and small bakeries in Ukraine are compared. In the article the positions of producers of bakery products in the world are also analyzed. Means of achieving competitive advantages of domestic enterprises are shown. Advantages and constraints of large and small businesses in the baking industry are determined. The development of the baking industry is due to modern technically equipped enterprises and small businesses. Increasing of efficiency of enterprises promotes business transparency and fair competition in the market. Important factor is the availability of financial, material and energy resources, free access to retail.
