Abstract

The article presents the broad ways of possible use of peat. The article reviews the characteristic of peat reserves in Ukraine and considered the use of it as fuel, organic fertilizer in agriculture, livestock farming, energy, chemical industry and as component for the manufacture of food products, including spirits. The results illustrate the innovative approaches to rational and efficient use of peat as a strategic natural resource.
