HEAT EXCHANGE DURING CONVECTIVE DRYING OF SUGAR BEET PULP OT AIR AND SUPERHEATED STEAM
Keywords:
drying, sugar beet pulp, analysis, superheated steam, heat-transfer coefficientAbstract
The article provides the results of experimental research on convective drying of sugar beet pulp with hot air and superheated steam. The research allowed us to conclude that the major influence of temperature of drying agent on the drying rate is observed at the stage of sustained drying rate. At the same time the stage of receding pulp drying rate is heterogeneous, this being caused by extracting of moisture from the materials with different kinds of binding force. In the course of analysis of the received values we have calculated the complex parameter of the general heat and mass exchange, i.e. the relative volumetric heat transfer coefficient.
