FOOD INDUSTRY OF UKRAINE: NATIONAL AND GLOBAL DIMENSION OF MODERN DYNAMICS

Abstract

The features of food industry development in Ukraine in the coordinates of national and global dimensions have been identified. Empirical analysis and analytical estimation of the crisis dynamics of food industry development have been carried out. We established that the economic crisis of 2014-2016 led to the loss of 16% of its GDP by Ukraine, the level of average wages decreased by 26%, the purchasing power of the population decreased significantly, food prices increased by 64%, the physical volume of food consumption per one person decreased by 7%, especially for livestock products – by 11%. The directions of perspective dynamics of the domestic food industry and the influence of the modern world food market tendencies on it are outlined
