Abstract

The content of the global development goals that are important to the development of the Ukrainian food sector is highlighted. The scale of the food sector’s influence on the world food trade, as well as the ways of such influence, is assessed. In particular, several export indicators of Ukraine are compared to the relevant world indicators, as well as to the neighboring competing countries. Risks and possibilities for the food sector’s development that are connected to the trade liberalization are determined.
