EUROPEAN FOOD QUALITY PROTECTION MECHANISMS IN UKRAINE

Subject of research – the results of the implementation of European mechanisms for ensuring the quality of food products in Ukraine. The purpose of the research is to study the results of the implementation of European food quality assurance mechanisms in Ukraine. Applied methods: system generalization, analysis and synthesis, analytical, comparison. Research results. The article presents the results of the study on the introduction of European mechanisms for the quality assurance of food products in Ukraine. Requirements of the European Union to be met by all goods imported into the EU customs territory and Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council 178/2002, the main aspects of which were the creation of a European Food Safety Authority and ensuring greater transparency and product quality tracking were analyzed. Requirements vary considerably depending on the particular product, but in general can be grouped in the following areas: technical requirements, environmental requirements, requirements in the field of sanitary and phytosanitary measures. The implementation of Ukraine Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union is analyzed. The measures taken by Ukraine to overcome the technical barriers in foreign trade, as well as sanitary and phytosanitary measures within the framework of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union have been studied. The delay in implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union and the reasons for it were revealed. Scope of application of research results. The results are intended for economists and specialists in food and processing industries, specialists of authorities, scientists, teachers, post-graduate students and students of higher educational establishments. The results of the research has a scientific and practical value and can serve as a source of background information on the real state of the results of the implementation of European mechanisms for ensuring the quality of food products in Ukraine. The results can be the basis for further researches and for making decisions on state support for the development of the main sectors of the food.Downloads
